2023 Annual Meeting of the NYSSL Chapter of the American Musicological Society Faculté de musique de l’Université de Montréal (Canada), April 14-15, 2023 Hosted by the Research Canada Chair in Music and Politics , in collaboration with the  Observatoire interdisciplinaire de création et de recherche en musique Deadline for proposals: Friday, February 3, 2023, at 11:59pm   The 2023 Spring Meeting of the New York State / St. Lawrence Chapter of the American Musicological Society will take place on Friday and Saturday 14-15 April at the Faculté de musique de l’Université de Montréal, province of Quebec. Information on local hotels, B&Bs and restaurants will be posted on our website as it becomes available. We welcome papers on all topics, in addition to panel recommendations. We also wish to encourage proposals for a session of lightning talks consisting of five-minute research presentations on any topic. Dear colleagues, It’s with great pleasure that we announce that the 2023 edition of the NYSSL AMS Chapter Annual Meeting will be held on April 14 th and 15 th 2023 , at the Music Faculty of Université de Montréal (Canada).  The event will be organized by the Canada Research Chair in Music and Politics , directed by Marie-Hélène Benoit-Otis , Associate Professor of Musicology at Université de Montréal, in collaboration with the Observatoire interdisciplinaire de recherche et de création en musique (OICRM). Also, we are pleased to announce that the keynote conference will be given by Monica Hershberger , Assistant Professor of Music at SUNY – Geneseo. Please note that the call for proposals will be launched on November 15 th . Location and dates: Eastman School of Music (Rochester), April 9-10, 2022 Deadline for proposals: Wednesday, February 23 The 2022 spring meeting of the New York State – Saint Lawrence chapter of the American Musicological Society will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10 at the Eastman School of Music (University of Rochester) in Rochester, New York. We welcome proposals for 20-minute presentations on all areas of scholarship in music, in addition to proposals for panels or other alternative format sessions. In keeping with Eastman’s Centennial Celebration , we would like to encourage proposals dealing with any kind of musical performance or with the history and politics of music education in the United States. The Chapter Meeting will also take place concurrently with the 50th-anniversary conference of the Music Theory Society of New York State; panel proposals combining presentations by musicologists and music theorists would be especially welcome.  The conference will featu
